Board Member Biographies These are brief biographies of the members of the RMCSAC board. Ken Berryhill Ken earned his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from the University of Colorado. He is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor level III in Colorado and a National Certified Counselor. Ken has trained with Dr. Patrick Carnes and is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. He has worked in the mental health field for over 18 years and now specializes in the treatment of sexual addiction and compulsivity. Ken currently works at CareNet Counseling treating clients with sex addiction and sexual offending issues.
Mary C. Collins Mary is a registered nurse and a Licensed Family Therapist and has been in private practice for almost 20 years. She has lectured at various colleges around the state and has been on radio and television talking about all addictions. A past secretary of RMCSAC, she is presently on the Board of the Denver Family Institute, which is affiliated with Denver University. She has been running a group for partners of sexual addicts for over a year and has a large number of addicts and their families in her practice. Her background in medicine and nursing fosters a strong belief in the mind/body connection. Having studied with John Bradshaw, she also has a number of recovering Adult Children of Alcoholics in her practice. Renee Madison Renee graduated from Denver Seminary in 2003. She also attended the school for Counseling Licensure to be better equipped to work with the brokenness of those in the church and outside of the church. She trained under Patrick Carnes for treatment of sex addiction. She practices in Fort Collins and the north Denver metro area. Renee is the vice president of RMCSAC. Sara Quackenbush Sara received her master's from Denver Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Sara is in private practice in the north area of Denver, specializing in trauma, eating disorders, sexual addiction, marital relationship and children. Her practice incorporates family therapy, play therapy and groups. Sara enjoys giving educational presentations on her areas of expertise. She is the president of the RMCSAC board. Eugene Van Dusseldorp Gene graduated with his Ph.D. from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. He is licensed as a psychologist in the state of Colorado and is an ordained pastor in the Reformed Church of America. Gene is the president and clinical director for New Beginnings Psychological Resources, which has offices in several metro Denver areas as well as Colorado Springs and Monument. Gene is a certified sex addictions therapist and is a past president of RMCSAC. Other areas of specialization include marital relationships and working with survivors of childhood trauma.
